Michael Daniel Noreikas, Jr., of Riverside, dies in suspected DUI crash

News headline from the Riverside Police Department:

On November 20, at 1:53 am., police responded to a major injury traffic collision on Olivewood south of Panorama. The collision involved a single vehicle roll-over.

Daniel Noriekas, 25, of Riverside, was driving his 2003 Ford F150 pick-up southbound on Olivewood at Panorama. He lost control the vehicle and crossed into the opposing lanes of traffic where it struck the curb and rolled over.

noreikasjr.jpg An unrestrained front-male passenger has been identified as Michael Daniel Noreikas, Jr. (pictured), 28, he was injured during the collision, transported to Riverside Community Hospital, and died.  The driver, along with the two female adult rear passengers was unhurt.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a concealed handgun. He was arrested and booked for vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI, and carrying a concealed handgun.

The Riverside Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded to the scene and the collision is under investigation.
