Jurupa Unified School District 4850 Pedley Road Riverside, California 92509 Notice calling for bids notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Jurupa Unified School District is requesting proposals for: Specialized Transportation of Severely Handicapped Students, In Conjunction with Alvord Unified School District. All proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the District. Companies interested in submitting proposals should request appropriate bid documents from the Jurupa Unified School District, Purchasing Department, attention Ms. April M. Devlin, Director, Centralized Support Services, 4850 Pedley Road, Riverside, Ca 92509, 951-360-4102. Proposals must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Purchasing Department, at the above address, up to, but no later than, 10:00a.m. PST, Friday, March 18, 2011.

Each envelope must be clearly marked on the front with the name of the vendor, the RFP title and closing date and time. All proposals must be quoted as delivered and installed, if necessary, to the designated site(s). No additional freight, fuel, drayage, labor or other fees/charges will be permitted or accepted. Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise. Where applicable, vendors must meet the requirements regarding the district’s specific Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (”DVBE”) Program. Vendors may contact the District for details regarding the District’s DVBE program requirements.

The Board of Education of the Jurupa Unified School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities in the proposals and/or or process, to be sole judge as to the merit, quality, and acceptability of services and/or materials proposed and its compliance to the specifications, and to not necessarily accept the lowest priced proposal of any offered if it is in the best interest of the District; furthermore, The Board of Education may award a contract to one vendor or multiple vendors if it is in the best interest of the District to do so. Vendors may not withdraw their bid for a period of ninety days (90) after the date set for the submittal of proposals. Refer to the formal RFP documents for additional information, terms and conditions. The complete RFP documents and terms and conditions are considered one complete component and cannot be altered in any way.

The successful vendor may be required to post a faithful performance bond valued at one hundred percent of the estimated total value after award of a contract.
