Andree Wrench
Andree Wrench was born on April 11, 1912 and died of natural causes March 12, 2012 at the age of 99 in Perris, CA at a home for Alzhiemers/Dementia. She was born in New York City to Francis and Louise Wagner while they were on a very postponed honeymoon.
They shortly flew home to Nice, France were she spent the next 13 years before returning to America for the remainder of her life. She graduated from Fairfax High School in the Los Angeles area. Andree came from a very musical family, her oldest brother, Roger, was the founder of the Roger Wagner Chorale, and she loved to sing. This led her to a job at MGM studios in 1932 where she dubbed songs in many films for actresses that couldn’t sing.
At MGM in 1933 she met Herbert Wrench and they were married, spending their life together for 65 years until Herbert’s death in 1998. Andree was fluent in 3 languages and even taught French at private schools as well as privately to such people as Bob Hope’s children. She made many trips to Mexico with her church to help those in need.
Herbert and Andree used to love going in their motor home and camping for weeks, one special spot for Andree was Silent Valley. Andree had 4 children, Herbert Jr., Rod, Brian and Theresa (Terri Palmer), 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She moved to the town of Wrightwood for 10 years with her 3 youngest children, where she was very active in civic projects and owned a sewing store.
MGM studios was to move into the Conejo Valley so they moved to Newbury Park to be closer, but MGM never completed the move. Their final move was to Sun City, CA for 22 years after retirement, where she stayed until Herbert’s passing.
Neptune Society of Riverside is handling the cremation and interment will be private.
