Avis Fern McCullough, mom passed away in her sleep April 11, 2012 of congestive heart failure. Born 93 years ago on Nov. 29, 1918 in Britton, South Dakota.

She was raised in Garden Grove, CA. She met the love of her life, her husband Dick in high school. They moved to Riverside in 1939. She was a homemaker and worked at Poly High School snack bar and RCC cafeteria. A lifetime member of Inland Region Iris Society, St. Catherine’s Alter Society and St. Anns Guild. Most recently she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Dick, her sister Camille Waite and her son-in-law Ted Paxton.

She is survived by her loving children Sharon Paxton of Yakima, WA, Carol Morgan of Riverside and Stephen of Riverside who had been her caregiver for the last 10 years.

Loving grandmother to four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, April 23 from 10am-11am at Pierce Bros Crestlawn Chapel; followed by a graveside service. In lieu of flowers donate to a charity of your choice .
