Charles "Bill" William Bell

charlesbell.jpgCharles “Bill” William Bell passed away on April 18th from complications following surgery. Born September 17, 1936 in Los Angeles, the son of Frank and Vivian Bell.

He was raised in El Segundo where he graduated from El Segundo High School in 1955. He was fondly known as “Charlie” by his school mates. He worked for thirty-five years for the city of El Segundo as a Sanitation Lead Worker, before retiring to Lake Elsinore in 1992. He and his wife Carol moved to Hemet in 2000.

He was a ten year member of the Hemet Elks Lodge. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Norm and his nephew, Tom.

He is survived by his wife Carol; his son David; his nephew Jeff and his wife Karen; his step son Bill Johnson and his wife Kathy; his step daughter Gloria Fay and her husband Rich; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Zechar and her husband Dale; his niece Patricia Renfrow and her husband Jim; and eight grandchildren, Patricia, Nicholas, Ashley, Jordan, Kyle, Ryan, Kelly and Brian.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, May 14th at McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet with interment to follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 2:15 P.M. Entrusted to the care of McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 N. San Jacinto St., Hemet, Ca 92543.
